Here are details about tomorrow night's Band Preview. Please contact me with any questions!
Please be reminded that our Winter Concert is next week on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. The concert will begin at 7:00pm in the LHS gym. It is free and open to the public and will feature the LHS Sax Sextet, Percussion Ensemble, and Wind Ensemble. Students will report to the band room at 6:30pm in their concert uniforms. Our upcoming Large Group Adjudicated Event is confirmed for Friday, March 8, 2024 at Hoover High School. Please see the attachment below for details. (All percussionists are not required to attend this event. They know who is and who is not performing.) Please let me know if you have any questions. Mr. B
We will be having a mandatory Disney meeting for students and parents of students who are going on the trip next month. Please see below for details. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to have a detailed itinerary available as soon as possible...our travel company is waiting on some vendors for confirmation on a few things. Details: Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 12:00pm depart from LHS Wednesday, Feb. 14 Hollywood Studios Thursday, Feb. 15 Magic Kingdom (performance day) Friday, Feb. 16 EPCOT Saturday, Feb. 17 Universal Studios (depart when park closes) Sunday, Feb. 18 arrive back to LHS (time TBA) Mondy, Feb. 19 NO SCHOOL (Presidents Day) Thanks, Mr. B
Saturday December 2 will be our annual Band Prom in Fellowship Hall at Paradise Church. Band prom is formal dance and will be held from 7pm-10-pm. Tickets are $15.00 and will be available from members of the Band Council. This is a voluntary event. Students do not need to have a date to attend.
Sunday December 3, the marching band (color guard included) will be performing for "Light Up Louisville". Students will gather in the parking lot behind Paradise Church at 5:30pm. The band room will be open from 5:00-5:20pm for anyone who needs to pick up their instrument or equipment. We will be leading a short parade at 5:45pm to the community Christmas tree. Once the tree is lit, we'll return to Paradise Church. Students should dress in Christmas clothes, red and green etc. Be creative, decorate your instruments and have fun! Eighth grade marchers and RG Drage students are encouraged to attend. Music will be distributed in class. Please see below for the itinerary for the OMEA State Marching Band Finals on October 28, 2023 at Hilliard Bradley HS in Hilliard, OH.
